Kraft has big plans for Gillette Stadiu

Patriots Nation, buckle up. Owner Robert Kraft has some big plans — literally — for Gillette Stadium.
Kraft told The Boston Globe on Tuesday that installation of high-definition video boards in each end zone will be part of the planned improvements that will be announced soon for the stadium.
“I think excluding Dallas, they’ll be the largest,’’ Kraft told the paper. “They’ll be HD, they’ll give us the opportunity to show a lot more replays, we’ll be showing the Red Zone Channel in-stadium, with great plays at other stadiums, and it’ll continue to improve the in-game stadium experience.
NFL Network’s Scott Hanson and NFL Network’s Red Zone Channel crew will be amped about that.
Kraft also touched on the source of his support for the Super Bowl in New York/New Jersey — and the buzz from the NFL Spring Meeting is that today’s announcement is a slam dunk – during the wide-ranging interview.
“Ever since 9/11, I’ve hoped that something like this could happen,’’ Kraft said. “I see two major things: Payback to the people of that region in bringing what I think is the greatest sporting event in the world, to host it, and thank them for what’s gone on almost a decade later. And then also a thank you to the [Jets and Giants] owners who stepped up with real financial stakes.”
